Senior Scala Developer

Our platform deals with huge amounts of data and billions of requests. Each engineering team works with a clear mission in mind, taking accountability for every part of the system from deployment to production 3rd tier engineering debugging. Our teams are multi-disciplinary and consist of Developers, QA Engineers and Product Managers. As Lead Developer you head one of these core teams by bringing your friendly, open nature to take the individuals and team to a new level.

Your Role:

  • You work on the real-time distributed stack
  • On a technical level this means working on highly-scalable, fault tolerant distributed systems, efficient algorithms, asynchronous programming
  • You are a part of technically challenging environment involved in large-scale problems core to the business
  • You work as a part of a SCRUM team that focuses on Fyber’s RTB Supply Side Platform

Your Qualifications:

  • Strong 5+ years experience in Java or Scala or C++ — the main focus will be Scala
  • Strong understanding of asynchronous programming required (Akka, boost ASIO)
  • Strong academic background in Computer Science or closely related
  • Experience in multi-threaded programming and distributed systems (design and development)
  • Knowledge of network protocols
  • Experience in finance industry / algorithmic trading, or telecommunication industry, or gaming industry / electronic adverstising are a big plus
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to think out of the box
